Appointment, Consignment and Return Policies


Clothing purchases are by appointment only, Tuesday through Saturday. Purchasing is seasonal – Spring & Summer items are purchased February through June. Fall & Winter items are purchased August through December.

On your appointment day, you may drop off anytime during regular business hours. Please allow 2-3 days for items to be inspected. When a decision is made on which items are of interest, an offer will be emailed to you.

You may choose to receive your payment either by check… OR as a store credit. If you choose the store credit, we will ADD 20% to your payout total!!!

Items must be:

. In like-new condition
. “Mall” brands or better (no K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Target, Kohl’s or Babies R Us brands)
. Current styles
. Freshly laundered
. Pressed if necessary
. Laid flat in laundry basket or plastic tub, stacked and not folded
. Fresh-smelling (no smoke, mothballs or stale odors)

Items in plastic garbage bags or cardboard boxes will NOT be accepted.

We will accept Carter’s brands with the following stipulations: All items size 18 months and smaller must be new with tags still attached. Sizes 24 months and bigger must be in excellent condition.

Please Note: In order to maintain our excellent reputation, we are very selective, and examine each item thoroughly. We accept and price items according to brand, condition and currency of style. Our offers are typically 30% of our initial selling price. Offers are based on all items accepted. We are not able to remove individual items from the offer. Please be aware, we do NOT give an item-by-item listing of the offer. You have the option to accept or decline the offer. After that, you have two business days (ours are Tuesday through Saturday) to come by and pick up your check and any “no-thank you” items. If you do not return within the allotted time frame, the items become the property of Ladybugs & Lizards and will be disposed of at our discretion.

TIP: If this is your first time selling to us, you may want to visit our store to get an idea of how much we sell things for. This will give an idea of what we may be able to pay you.


Equipment is done on a true consignment basis. Appointments are not necessary to bring these types of items in. But, please do call ahead of time to make sure that we have the room and need for the items you wish to consign.

Consignment Terms:

Consignment items remain the property of the consignor and are not covered under Ladybugs & Lizards’ insurance policy. Ladybugs & Lizards assumes no liability for lost, damaged or stolen items.

. All items are checked for recall. No recalled items are accepted.
. Items are priced at 50%-75% of retail value, depending on condition.
. Consignors receive 50% of the selling price.
. Consignment term is 180 days (6 months) and items MUST remain on consignment for a minimum of 90 days (3 months).
. Items are reduced 10% after 30 days and an additional 10% after 60 days. Between 90-180 days, consignment items are subject to further reductions at our discretion to facilitate the sale of the item. This includes accepting reasonable offers. Consignors are responsible for picking up unsold items after 180 days. Items left past 180 days will become the property of Ladybugs & Lizards and may be sold or donated at our discretion. You are responsible for checking to see whether your items have sold.
. You may request a check or may use a credit toward store merchandise at any time. Payments & store credits not picked up or requested 6 months after the consignment end-date will be voided and will NOT be reissued.

A $2 mailing fee will be deducted from your payment if you request your check to be mailed.

We will NOT consign breast pumps, Diaper Genies, potty seats or baby bathtubs.



We aim for complete customer satisfaction. Resale items may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 7 days of purchase. Consigned items may not be returned, but if you choose, you can reconsign the item with us. Vendor items, such as hair bows or items from Kraycheese, are all final sales and may not be returned.
