Appointment, Consignment and Return Policies
APPOINTMENTS FOR CHILDREN'S CLOTHING
The purchasing of clothing is done by appointment only and is seasonal.  Spring & Summer items will be purchased from February through June.  Fall & Winter items are purchased from August through December.   On your appointment day, you may drop off anytime during the window of 10am - 2pm.  There are no appointments on Saturdays, but special exceptions can be made, should our schedule allow.  Once items are dropped off, please allow 2-3 days for me to look over your items and decide on which I would like to purchase.  I will then email you with an offer for your items.

You may either choose to receive your payment in the form of a check...OR you may elect to have your payout as a store credit, If you choose the store credit, we will ADD 20% to your payout total!!!
Items must be:
  •  In Like New Condition
  • "Mall" Brands or Better (no K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Target, Kohl'sor Babies R Us Brands)
  • Current Styles
  • Freshly Laundered
  • Pressed if necessary
  • Laid flat in laundry basket or plastic tub, stacked and not folded
  • Fresh Smelling (no smoke, mothballs or stale odors)
  • NO HANGERS
  • Items in plastic garbage bags will NOT be accepted
  • We are only accepting Carter's brands if they are NEW with the tags still attached

Please Note: - In order to maintain our excellent reputation, we are very selective as we examine each item thoroughly. We accept and price items according to brand, condition, and currency of style. Our offer to you is typically between 30% to 35% of our initial selling price. Offers are based on all items accepted and we are not able to remove individual items from the offer. Please understand and be aware, we are NOT able to give you an item by item listing.  Naturally, you have the option to accept our offer or refuse it. Once the offer is accepted or declined, you have two business days (ours are Tuesday through Saturday) to come by and pick up your check and your unwanted items.  If you do not come back within the alloted time frame, your items will be come the property of Ladybugs & Lizards and will be disposed of at our discretion.

TIP: If this is your first time in to sell to us, you may want to visit our store to get an idea of how much we are able to sell things for and therefore, have an idea of what we may be able to pay you.

CONSIGNMENT OF EQUIPMENT

Equipment is done on a true consignment basis.  Appointments are not necessary to bring these types of items in.  But, please do call ahead of time to make sure that we have the room and need for the items you wish to consign.

CONSIGNMENT TERMS:

  • All items are checked for recall, no recalled item will be accepted
  • Items are priced at 50%-75% of retail value, depending on condition.
  • Items are placed on the selling floor for 90 days
  • Items are reduced 10% after 30 days and an additional 10% after 60 days
  • Consigner retains 50% of the selling price
  • Checks for consignment items will be written once a month and will be ready by the 5th of the next month.  You will be emailed if you have a check to pick up.  Any check not picked up within 6 months will be voided and NOT reissued.
  • When the 90 day consignment period as ended, it is up to the consignor to pick up their items.  Any items left over the 90 day consignment period are subject to further reductions to facilitate the sale of the items. 
  • We will NOT consign: Breast Pumps, Diaper Genies, Potty Seats or Baby Bathtubs

Returns

Customers often ask what our return policy is. We aim for complete customer satisfaction. Resale items may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 7 days of purchase.  Consigned items may not be returned, but if you choose, you can reconsign the item with us.  Vendor items, such as hairbows or items from Kraycheese, are all final sales and may not be returned.

We accept Personal Checks, Visa and Mastercard.
As of 1/1/2009, we will no longer be accepting American Express.  Sorry for any inconvenience.
